"What we think determines what happens to us, so if we want to change our lives, we need to stretch our minds."— Wayne Dyer
Have you ever heard something similar to the above quote? Or something like "You become what you think about" or "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he"? I have heard it a lot and I completely believe it. In fact the very essence of these quotations is the true definition of faith. Faith is believing in something that we can not see with our physical eyes yet we that it is true or if we press forward that our vision of the future will be a reality.
This idea has application in every aspect of our lives. But for he purposes of this post I am going to apply it to the expansion of our understanding of money. Because you can actually tell a lot about people when you have a conversation with them about money. For me talking about money and finances is like a great psychological experiment into the working of the human mind.
I would like to ask a simple question. "How would you like to be a multimillionaire? Why settle for a meager existence when you can just as easily settle for millions?"
I ask myself this question every day and I answer the same way. The answer is a responding YES. I want to be a multimillionaire. I hope that everybody would want to answer this question with a yes.
I think the first step to be able to transform this desire to have wealth to actually having is our thoughts.
We need to believe that it is actually possible for each of us to become multimillionaires. That is why it is important to choose our thoughts wisely and follow the advise of Dr. Dyer. "What we think determines what happens to us, so if we want to change our lives, we need to stretch our minds."
Below is an excerpt from Robert Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad's You Can Choose to be Rich". I like the title because everything that we are at this time is a result of the combined total choices that each of us have made up to this point in our lives. And our future will be determined by our thoughts and choices.

“The poor and the middle class
work for money. The rich have
their money work for them.”
work for money. The rich have
their money work for them.”
People who become trapped in the lifelong process of bill-paying are like
gerbils running inside the wheels. Their legs move furiously, their wheels spin
on and on, and in the end, they’re in the same place they started—nowhere. They
keep working and working and their incomes go up, but then so do their taxes
and the charges on their credit cards. Buying a home and a car, going on
vacations, paying for the children’s education, saving for retirement—these
successive challenges prevent the bill-payers, no matter how well educated they
may be, from ever getting ahead. This doesn’t have to be your fate. You can
escape the Rat Race. What you need to do is change the way you think about work
and money.
I am not saying, “Quit your job.” I am saying, “Take responsibility for
your financial future.” Consider starting a part-time business on the side.
What were those priceless strategies that rich dad taught me? In a
nutshell:
1.
Become financially
literate.
2.
Work to learn.
3.
Find mentors,
build a team.
4.
Work for yourself.
5.
Create money.
6.
Give back.
Is it possible to have money work for you? It all begins by changing the way we think about money. I know that it is possible. And that it can be for any one wants it to be possible. All things are possible to those that believe.
