"Pursuing your
passion is fulfilling and leads to financial freedom."
—Robert G. Allen
I recently read a book written by Donald Trump titled “How to Get Rich”. It was a straight to point book about what it takes to become rich or successful in our pursuits. As, I was reading I took the time to write down some quotes from the book that jumped out at me. This morning I was thumbing through my note book and came across a few of the quotes that I had recorded. The main points that I recognized from the qoutes and the book in general is that the importance of pursuing your passions, teacher your children about money and generousity.
“Ultimately, the rule
here . . . to turn your passion into profit. The results of that passion will
reward you in more ways than you ever could have expected. Passion is enthusiasm
on a big scale. It is all encompassing and consuming. People with passion never
give up because they’ll never have a reason to give up, no matter what their
circumstances maybe. It is an intangible momentum that can make you
indomitable”(How to Get Rich, 24).
Here is one on the importance about teaching your children
about money and helping them gain a financial education, something that they
will not get in the traditional public school systems.
“Not teaching your
kids about money is like not caring whether they eat. Make sure you let them in
on your way of thinking about money – how you manage expenses, how you save,
where you invest” (How to Get Rich).
Here is one that states why it is everybody’s responsibility
to become financially successful.
“One of the biggest
perks of being financially successful is being able to be generous” (How to Get
Rich).
Specking about teaching your children about money, there is
a really great book by Robert Kiyosaki about the importance of teaching your
children about money and helping them gain a financial education. It is called “Why ‘A’ Students work for ‘C’ Students and
‘B’ Students work for the Government—Rich Dad’s Guide to Financial
Education for Parents, How to give your child a financial headstart …without
giving them money”.
As the subtitle states, it is a guide for parents to help
you give your child a financial head-start in live. The book is filled with
great information and practical ideas to assist you and your kids in winning at
the game of money. I finished reading
this book yesterday and I whole heartily recommend that you read and apply the
lesson contained in the book. If you would like to obtain a copy, it can be
purchased from AMAZON.
I believe that greatest keys to financial success are not
from the jobs that we have, rather financial success will ultimately come from
our understanding of our money system and our financial education and pursuing
our passions and turning that passion into a profitable venture.
